Do you have termites in or around your home?

termite-pest-controlMany insects are confused with termites, especially ants. Termites are sometimes referred to as ‘white ants’ because of their pale appearance. Regular inspections are essential to control termites before they do any damage.

Recommend protection steps:

Arrange regular inspections – at least yearly or six monthly if needed Inspect during periods of high termite activity – early spring to late summer Helpful hint: Keep the edges of the house (slabs, foundation, piers and stumps) clear of clutter, including garden beds and vegetation.

The funnel ant spends most of it’s time underground.

funnel-antProfessional treatment for funnel and infestation is recommended as over the counter products used in home treatments are largely innefective on this species of ant and they quickly destroy the integrity of your lawns, leaving hollows and mounds.

Professional treatment an effective one off treatment, with a follow up treatment possibly recommended in several months depending on the severity of the infestation.

Funnel ants have become a major problem in the Brisbane region and we recommend treatment as soon as possible, before migration to surrounding properties, which will increase the likelihood of re-infestation.
